I’m running for Springdale City Council District 3

It’s imperative we continue to keep Springdale on the right track. I grew up right here in Springdale and am a Proud Princeton Graduate, and as a dedicated mom who served 8 years in the Ohio Army National Guard I am a dedicated leader who understands the challenges we face.

I am asking for your support on November 4th!

About Me

I spent some of the best days of my childhood going to events in Springdale like the 4th of July Festival, walking to the Tri-county Mall and hanging out with my friends at Ross Park or the Rec Center.

Now I’m a mother, my children go to Springdale Elementary, and it’s time for my generation to bring our ideas to the table so we can build a legacy for the next.

If you have any questions or would like to meet with me so I can hear your ideas, please reach out!!!

Goals

  • Add more family friendly activities at the rec center that working families can attend.
  • Bringing back the farmer’s market and 4th of July festival.
  • Increase programs at our public parks so they’re community hubs.
  • Updating and modernizing outreach for the events that we have.
  • Supporting and encouraging more businesses that will invest in our city to make Springdale their home base.
  • Better integration between Maple Knolls and the rest of Springdale.

What is in a Name?

I’ve had people reach out to ask me “how do you pronounce your real name?”

It’s pronounced ree-Ae. Rie was a popular name when I was born and my mom made it fancy and spelled it with an extra i at the end. I actually just got my name corrected on my American birth certificate. When I win, it’s going to be with the name my mama gave me.

My father picked out my middle name. He really likes Jennifer O’Neill. It’s not common in Japan to have them.

I go by Raye/Rae to make it easier on those who have a harder time with different pronunciations.

I do prefer Riei but all of my friends call me Raye 🙂

Help Support My Efforts

Small town campaigns like mine cost about a few thousand dollars, according to Google’s AI. I know it’s tacky but it’s the truth. This keeps people like you and me, who live paycheck to paycheck, out of seats where we belong and silences our voices.

I am being fiscally responsible and working to only give my money to local businesses. I am going to divide what I have left after my campaign between different Springdale nonprofits and Youth Organizations, which all PACs are able to do.

If you ever have questions about my political bank account, feel free to request it whenever from my treasurer. The IRS has laws where we have to be transparent and accountable when requested.

I have Venmo (Click the Link or scan the QR with your smartphone) and can accept checks. I also can accept in-kind donations.
